Summer 2013 Kindergarten Teacher
As part of the expansion and growth of its successful summer school program, Broomfield Academy has an opening for a a full-time kindergarten teacher for the 2013 summer session, which runs June 3-August 2, 2013. The ideal candidate would have strong teaching skills and elementary or preschool teaching experience as well as:
• Experience working with children, instructing and/or teaching in an elementary school or preschool environment and loves children.
• Flexibility and willingness to work with team
• A positive attitude, creative and dynamic. Has the ability and interest to work with advanced or academically accelerated students.
• Strong writing, speaking, and organizational skills
• Understanding of gifted development
• Ability to differentiate instruction and to work students who have a variety of learning styles and abilities
This is a summer teaching position in our summer preparatory program (see
http://www.broomfieldacademy.com/code/summerfun.php for more information on this program). Class sizes are small, with fewer than 15 students. While the summer focus is advanced academic skills, there are weekly field trips and lots of summer activities, including swimming and outdoor activities.

Broomfield Academy is a small, independent elementary school located in Broomfield, Colorado. The school is known for academic excellence and maintains a focus on individualized education.
